Dr. Kimberly Noble is a neuroscientist and pediatrician. Her work focuses on disparities in development and health across infancy, childhood and adolescence. Currently, she is a Professor of Neuroscience and Education at the Teachers College at Columbia University, where she directs the Neurocognition, Early Experience and Development Lab.Noble is co-director of the Baby's First Years study, the first clinical trial of poverty reduction to assess the causal impact of income on children's cognitive, emotional and brain development in the first three years of life. Her work has been covered in the Washington Post, The Economist, Newsweek, The Guardian, Le Monde and NPR.Noble received her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience and M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She did her residency in Pediatrics at the New York Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center.
