Kyle West began podcasting, regularly, in 2013. A lot of his early work was focused on a weekly sports show that discussed the goings on in the world of British football, but he soon followed that up with The Kyle West Show. The latter started as a discussion show for Kyle's favourite entertainment franchises, but soon evolved into a show that would tackle real world issues and events, as well as intense (and sometimes, quite the opposite!) interviews with people who Kyle had encountered in life, both in the real world, and online!Kyle's show came to an end in late 2014, as his career away from the microphone began to take off. Despite this, he continued to make guest appearances on some shows, and occasionally dabbled with some new show concepts, but these didn't ever go very far, given how stretched he was for time (especially after he became a father in 2016 and, again, in 2018!).In early 2019, Kyle launched We Are The Universe, a podcast focusing on professional wrestling. This weekly show, centred mostly around WWE's NXT UK television show, became the go-to show for fans of that wrestling brand, and put Kyle in contact with fans from all around the world. In late 2019, after roughly 50 episodes, Kyle handed the podcast hosting duties over to Brent Caldwell, who had become a regular fixture on the show in recent months. Kyle maintained a small presence on the show, behind the scenes, but had not appeared on air again, before the show came to a halt as a result of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, several months into 2020.His departure from that show was to focus his attention on a new project, which he has yet to launch, but continues to work on, quietly. In the meantime, he can now be found every week on The Expanse: A Star Trek Enterprise Podcast, which he hosts alongside Kris Hill.
