Lara Bazelon is a professor at the University of San Francisco School of Law. She directed an innocence project at Loyola Law School and was a trial attorney in the Office of the Federal Public Defender.  Her work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Slate, and The Atlantic Magazine.
