Laurel Winter is an author of fantasy, science fiction, and poetry. Winter's first published story was "Mail Order Eyes" in 1988. She has since won two Rhysling Awards. Her novella "Sky Eyes", published in 1999 in F&SF, won the 2000 World Fantasy Award. Her first novel, the Young Adult novel "Growing Wings," was published in 2000. Winter attended Montana State University in Bozeman.
