Libby Nelson is a journalist. She is currently the deputy policy editor of Vox.com and is running Vox's coverage of policy in the 2020 election. She oversees a team of reporters and runs the internship program for Vox's policy and politics desk.
Nelson joined Vox.com in 2014. Prior to that, she reported on federal policy, Congress, and religious colleges for Inside Higher Ed. Previously, she was a reporter for The Times-Tribune in Scranton, PA.
While studying at Northwestern University, Nelson worked as a reporting intern for the New York Times, the (Minneapolis) Star Tribune, and the St. Petersburg Times. She received her degree in journalism from Northwestern in 2009.
