Ling Ma is an author. Currently, she is Assistant Professor of Practice in the Arts at the University of Chicago.
Ma's short stories have appeared in Granta, Playboy, the Chicago Reader, and The New Yorker Fiction Issue. Her first book, "Severance," was published in 2018 and won a Kirkus Prize. Her second book, the collection "Bliss Montage, was published in 2022.
Ma received her A.B. from the University of Chicago and her M.F.A. from Cornell University.
