Lloyd Bradley is a freelance music journalist and author. Early in his career, Bradley worked for Q and Empire. He launched the magazines Big!, Maxim, and Encore. He later joined GQ as an editor, then moved to Men's Health and Runner's World as an editorial consultant. His work has appeared in NME, Black Music magazine, The Guardian, and Mojo. His first book, "Rock Year Book Vol. 9," was published in 1988. He has authored or co-authored 13 books on music history, biography, and running.
