Luke O'Brien is an expert in political extremism and disinformation. Currently, he is Research Fellow at Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy at Harvard University.
Previously, O'Brien was an investigative journalist. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, Fortune, Details, Rolling Stone, Fast Company, The New York Times, Boston Magazine, The Washington Post Magazine, and Slate.
O'Brien was a senior reporter at HuffPost. He started his journalism career at a daily paper in Clovis, New Mexico, and has worked as a writer for National Geographic Television, SF Weekly, Village Voice Media, Wired News and Deadspin. He has been a contributing writer at Huffington Post Highline and a senior correspondent at POLITICO Magazine.
O'Brien received his B.A. in Social Anthropology from Harvard University and his M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University.
