Luna Lu is the acting head of Purdue University's Lyles School of Civil Engineering. She also is Purdue's Reilly Professor of Civil Engineering and the associate dean of faculty of the university's College of Engineering.Lu is the founder and CEO of WaveLogix, which has developed sensor technology that could significantly reduce how often concrete highway pavement needs repairs. An increasing number of U.S. interstates are set to try out this invention.
