Marge Simon is an artist and a writer of speculative poetry and fiction. She also edits the column "Blood and Spades: Poets of the Dark Side" for the monthly newsletter of the Horror Writers Association.
After art school, Simon worked as an art teacher in elementary schools. She began writing and illustrating, and her first book, the collection "Eonian Variations," was published in 1995.
Simon's poems, short fiction, and illustrations have appeared in Amazing Stories, Nebula Awards 32, Strange Horizons, The Pedestal Magazine, Chizine, Niteblade, Vestal Review, and Daily Science Fiction, among others.
Simon served as president of the Small Press Writers and Artists Organization and as president of the Science Fiction & Fantasy Poetry Association. She also edited the SFPA's journal Star*Line. Currently, she is the Chair of Board of the Horror Writers Association.
Simon received her B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Northern Colorado, and then continued her studies at the Art Center College of Design.
