Melissa R. Daniel is the creator and host of Architecture is Political (AIP), a podcast where Black and Brown folks have a conversation about architecture and its impact on politics and society. Through candid discussions, the show centers underrepresented voices and examines how the built environment shapes and is shaped by political and cultural forces. Melissa is the recipient of the 2021 Black and Brown Collective Grant. Active in the architecture profession, she was honored with the 2022 AIA Whitney M. Young Jr. Award and the 2018 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Associates Award.
