Michael Anthony McFaul is an American academic and professor of political science who served as the United States Ambassador to Russia. Prior to his nomination to the ambassadorial position, McFaul worked for the U.S. National Security Council as Special Assistant to the President and senior director of Russian and Eurasian affairs.

McFaul comments on Russia’s place in the current U.S. National Security Strategy and the continued problems facing the bilateral relationship. The two also examine Russia’s relationships with several countries in Asia including India, Afghanistan, and China.
