Mike Campbell is an acclaimed American guitarist, songwriter, and record producer, best known as the lead guitarist for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. A key collaborator with Petty, Campbell co-wrote many of the band's hits, including "Refugee" and "Runnin' Down a Dream." His signature guitar work became a defining element of the band's sound, blending rock, blues, and folk influences. Beyond his work with the Heartbreakers, Campbell has collaborated with artists such as Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, and Johnny Cash. He also fronts his own band, The Dirty Knobs.
