Mike Smith is the Sheriff of Utah County in Utah. Mike Smith Smith began his law enforcement career with the Pleasant Grove Police Department, where he was a patrol officer, motor officer, detective, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and, in 2012, was appointed as Chief of Police. He served as chief until he successfully ran for Utah County Sheriff in 2018. Smith received his associate’s degree in Criminal Justice and his B.A. in Emergency Services Administration and Emergency Management from Utah Valley University.
