Mimi Pond is an American cartoonist, comics artist, illustrator, humorist, and writer known for her work in television and graphic memoir. She was among the first women to write for the animated series The Simpsons during its early seasons, contributing episodes including “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” and “The Telltale Head.” Pond is also known for her autobiographical graphic memoirs Over Easy and The Customer Is Always Wrong, which examine labor, class, and daily life through her experiences working in Oakland diners. Her illustration and writing have appeared in publications such as The New Yorker, MAD Magazine, and the Los Angeles Times.
