In our 2nd episode of our 2nd Volume of Those People exploring “Creative People” Mitch is joined on the show by singer, songwriter, entertainer and pop performer Jackie Kamel!
Jackie is a longtime friend and college classmate of Mitch’s who has recorded with grammy-nominated producers, performed at music festivals around the country and joins us to discuss her journey from North Carolina, to Massachusetts, Colorado to Georgia, all to land in her current hometown of Brooklyn, NY making honest, authentic pop for the people.
We talk about a lot more than that though, including the effect of America’s overprescription epidemic on her family, not knowing any black people growing up because of North Carolina’s public school system and the influence of Krav Maga on her outlook on music.
Jackie’s debut EP - “The JK EP” - dropped just about a year ago, and she’s back to talk about her upcoming project, “Everything You Wanted” and her new singles “Texas” & “Love You More” (Available now on Spotify & Apple Music).
Jackie is self described as one of Those…#Millennial, #Masshole, #creative, #anxious, #easilydistracted, #inquisitive, and trying really hard to be monogamous but I just don't think it's gonna work out…People.
