Moliy is a Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter. She rose to stardom after being featured on Amaarae 2020 single "Sad Gurlz Luv Money" (remix with Kali Uchis), which debuted at number 80 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at number 29 in the United Kingdom. Originally from Accra, Ghana, Moliy was brought up in Accra and Florida. In 2020, Moliy released her debut EP Wondergirl which cut across the shores of Ghana to gain airplay in The Gambia and Nigeria as well as Kenya. In 2024, Moliy released "Shake It To The Max (FLY)" with the Jamaican-born producer Silent Addy. The song gained traction on TikTok, and charted in the United Kingdom at number one on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart and 70 on the UK singles chart of 4 April 2025, making it her second hit single.
