Nancy A. Nichols is a writer, editor and photographer. She is also the founder of
the public relations company Great Ideas Studio.
Previously, Nichols was a Senior Editor at the Harvard Business Review. She began her career as a journalist, reporting for the PBS show "The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer."
Nichols's writing has appeared in The New York Times Book Review, The Harvard Business Review, The Nation, and Glamour. Her first book, "Lake Effect: Two Sisters and a Town’s Toxic Legacy," was published in 2008. Her second book, "Women Behind the Wheel: An Unexpected and Personal History of the Car," was published in 2024.
