Dr. Nicolas Rasmussen is a historian of modern life sciences, with major interests in the history of amphetamines, the history of drug abuse, and the history of clinical trials. Currently, he is a professor in the School of Humanities and Languages at the University of New South Wales.
Rasmussen has published many academic articles. His first book, the textbook "Picture Control: The Electron Microscope and the Transformation of Biology in America, 1940-1960," was published in 1997. He has published four non-fiction books about the history of the natural sciences.
