Olivia Bianchi is a scholar currently pursuing an MSc in Visual, Material, and Museum Anthropology at the University of Oxford, building on a foundational background in Social Anthropology. Her academic interests have evolved from exploring queerness and non-normative relational forms to engaging with new materialism and environmental anthropology. She works with textiles both practically and conceptually, with future research aimed at examining the intersections of affect, care, and materiality through textile practices. Based in Switzerland, Bianchi has podcasting experience as a former host of Anthropolitical at the University of Zurich’s ISEK department and has expressed a strong interest in scholarly communication, including a prospective interview with anthropologist Maron Greenleaf on the New Books Network.
