Olivier Estèves is a sociologist and author whose work examines migration, identity, and social change in contemporary France. He is the author of *France, You Love It but Leave It: The Silent Flight of French Muslims*, published by Polity in 2025, which explores patterns of emigration among French Muslims and how questions of belonging, discrimination, and social mobility influence decisions to leave France. Estèves’s research combines qualitative interviews, demographic analysis, and social theory to illuminate the experiences of individuals and communities navigating citizenship, religion, and national identity. His scholarship engages with broader debates on multiculturalism, secularism, and globalization, and he has published articles and essays in academic journals on migration and social stratification. Estèves continues to contribute to research and teaching on migration studies and contemporary French society.
