Pace Warfield-May (they/them/their) is a doctoral candidate at The Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California and earned their MA in systematic theology from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Gettysburg (now United Lutheran Seminary). They study systematic theology, with research interests in Martin Luther and the Reformation, queer theology, and deconstruction. Currently, they are preparing to write their dissertation creating a queer theological anthropology from Martin Luther’s Genesis Lectures, focusing on Luther’s distinct views on human sexuality and gender. Pace enjoys making theology accessible particularly to those who do not have formal theological education and engaging in interfaith dialogue. Beyond their education, the enjoy collecting comics, co-hosting the Horror Nerds at Church podcast, and being a foodie. Pace lives in Washington, DC with their husband, Matt, and two dogs.
