Peniley Ramírez is an investigative journalist, columnist, and author. Currently, she is Executive Research Producer at Futuro Media Group and host of the podcast "USA v. Garcia Luna." She also teaches journalism.Ramírez has published opinion columns in Sin embargo, El heraldo de México and El Universal. She has a current columns in Reforma, Mural and El Norte. Her first book, "19 edificios como 19 heridas," about the 1985 Mexico City earthquake, was published in 2018. Her second book, "Los millonarios de la guerra," about García Luna, the war on drugs in Mexico, and government corruption, was published in 2021.Ramírez received her B.A. in Journalism and Communication Sciences from Universidad Veracruzana and her M.A. in Journalism from Columbia University.
