Geri speaks to Sacha Baron Cohen, Anthony Hines, and Peter Baynham—cowriters of BORAT SUBSEQUENT MOVIEFILM—about why they decided to revisit the iconic character, how intense it was to film that now infamous Rudy Giuliani scene, and the reality of filming in very dangerous situations. Sacha Baron Cohen is best known for his portrayal of bawdy and raucous fictional satirical characters such as Ali G, Borat Sagdiyev, Brüno Gehard and Admiral General Aladeen.  Sacha and his cowriters and frequent collaborators Anthony Hines and Peter Baynham have featured these characters in a number of films and television series, including ALI G INDAHOUSE, THE 11 O’CLOCK SHOW, BRÜNO, THE DICTATOR, and BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN, the latter of which was nominated for the 2006 Writers Guild and Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay. Their latest collaboration, BORAT SUBSEQUENT MOVIEFILM, follows the titular Borat Sagdiyev after his release from a stint in prison for bringing shame to his country, as he risks life and limb when he returns to America with his 15-year-old daughter. The film is available to stream on Amazon Prime.   — Read shownotes, transcripts, and other member interviews:  — Follow the Guild on social media: Twitter: @OnWritingWGAE | @WGAEast Facebook: /WGAEast Instagram: @WGAEast
RHLSTP #174: Peter Baynham - I Am Delighted. Rich meets his audience. Can he resist being a dick? Spoiler Alert- of course not, but never mind because he's about to meet the man behind almost every great comedy star of the last 20 years, it's Too Gorgeous Peter 'Too Gorgeous' Baynham. The ex-flat mates discuss what happens when a 16 year-old Frank Spencer is put in charge of a super tanker; the most inappropriate way to greet the death of someone's loved one; who was right in the war over bread; Jean Valjean bumming people while looking like Peter Baynham; what it's like to meet Adam Sandler; how Peter nearly turned down Borat and somehow didn't turn down Arthur; what Chris Morris is like in real life (he's nice); the lost answerphone messages that could destroy careers; Lee and Herring's part in the creation of I'm Alan Partridge; running away from an audience; and the mad thoughts that plague the diseased minds of (at least these two) comedians.SUPPORT THE SHOW!Check out our website and become a badger and see extra content details of the RHLSTP tour dates DVDs and Books at  See for privacy and opt-out information.
