Piet Hurkmans is a Dutch based podcaster and executive coach. Originally, he worked as a documentary filmmaker. In particular, he made human interest pieces about people's 'inner worlds', films that investigated human drives and sub-worlds. He was awarded with several film awards, e.g. The Prix Europa in Berlin for the best documentary and his films were shown on national Dutch TV and several European PBS's and international Film Festivals. In 2009, Piet founded the leadership development company The Needs. For more than a decade he mentored C-suite leaders, gave masterclasses on storytelling, writing and filming. Piet's work as a leadership trainer and coach centers on the power of stories and their unique role in public speaking.
