Rebecca F. Kuang is a fantasy fiction writer.Kuang's first novel, "The Poppy War," was published in 2018, followed by the sequels "The Dragon Republic," published in 2019, and "The Burning God," published in 2020. They won the Compton Crook Award, the Crawford Award, and the 2020 Astounding Award for Best New Writer.Kuang received their M.Sc. in Chinese Studies from Cambridge University, and their M.Ph in Contemporary Chinese Studies from Oxford University.
