Ramona Stout is a writer and music researcher based in Chania, Crete. She has acted as a producer and researcher for projects on Midwestern gospel music (Tompkins Square), Albanian music from the 1930s (JSP), and heart-rending pop from Ecuador’s Golden Era (Honest Jon’s). She has also co-curated and managed Kinisi Festival of Sound and Music on the island of Santorini, collaborated on sound installations exhibited in Chicago, Dublin, and Greece, and acted as writer and producer for the little-known (and very little-promoted) podcast, The Record. She is currently working on a collection of short stories and planning two field-recording projects. She likes walking. A lot.
