Randa Tawil is a American scholar at Texas Christian University whose research focuses on migration, transnational US history, history of empire, and U.S. Cultural history. She received her doctorate in American Studies at Yale, and she specializes in migration and mobility, ethnic studies, and Arab/Middle Eastern American studies. She is interested in how sites outside of the United States contribute to racial and gender formations within the country. Her work has appeared in Frontiers Journal, Amerasia Journal, OpenDemocracy, Miss Muslim, and the Washington Post.
