Darnell Riley Perez is a former criminal and memoirist. He is best known for breaking into the home of "Girls Gone Wild" franchise owner Joe Francis to assualt him, filming the assault, and extorting Francis in 2005. He was sentenced to 10 years of prison for the crime, most of which he served in Corcoran State Prison.
Perez's memoir of his crime and prison time, "What Is Real: The Life and Crimes of Darnell Riley," was published in 2018.
