Robbie Neilson (born 19 June 1980) is a Scottish professional football manager and former right-back who has built a notable career in both playing and coaching. A product of Heart of Midlothian’s youth system, he made over 200 Scottish Premier League appearances for the club and won the 2006 Scottish Cup, with earlier loan spells at Cowdenbeath and Queen of the South shaping his development. He later played for Leicester City, Brentford, Dundee United, Falkirk, and East Fife before retiring. Transitioning into management, Neilson guided Hearts to the 2014–15 Scottish Championship title, managed Milton Keynes Dons from 2016 to 2018, and achieved promotion with Dundee United in 2019–20. Returning to Hearts, he secured the 2020–21 Scottish Championship crown and most recently served as head coach of USL Championship side Tampa Bay Rowdies.
