SHOWNOTES: Collateral Cinema's exploration of the slasher genre continues in our analysis of the Leprechaun franchise—most particularly, its most recent entry: Leprechaun Returns! This 2018 TV movie chosen by our very own Robert Ortegon is the latest in a series of horror comedy films revolving around a murderous leprechaun (historically played by the great Warwick Davis) and his attempt to repossess his stolen gold. Not dissimilar to our Halloween (2018) episode earlier this season, Beau, Robert, Ash, and Dakota discuss the Leprechaun franchise history through each title, before diving into the cinematography and plot of this soft reboot taking place after the very first entry (again, just like the newest Halloween!). We also offer our thoughts on the actor performances, such as Lindon Norco picking up the torch of the titular character the Leprechaun, and Mark Holton reprising his role from the first film. Find the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, grab a box of Lucky Charms (or should we say Lucky Clovers), and eat a dick, Ass Baggins!
