Roy J. Eidelson, PhD, is a practicing clinical, research, and political psychologist. He has been an outspoken advocate in opposing torture and restoring psychology’s commitment to do-no-harm ethics. His books include Doing Harm: How the World’s Largest Psychological Association Lost Its Way in the War on Terror (2023) and POLITICAL MIND GAMES: How the 1% Manipulate Our Understanding of What’s Happening, What’s Right, and What’s Possible (2018). Dr. Eidelson is a past president of Psychologists for Social Responsibility. His writing has appeared in outlets such as the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, and Counterpunch.
