Ryan Devereaux is an investigative journalist. Currently, he is a reporter at The Intercept. He has reported on the drug war in Mexico, criminal justice, the war on terror, and immigration enforcement on the southern border.
Deveraux was a lead reporter on The Intercept’s award-winning series "the Drone Papers," and winner of the 2017 Online Journalism Award for best feature writing for a small newsroom. In 2020, Devereaux received the Deadline Club’s prize for best newspaper or digital feature reporting for “Bodies in the Borderlands,” a year-long investigation into the Trump administration’s crackdown on humanitarian aid providers in the Sonoran Desert.
Prior to The Intercept, Devereaux worked at Guardian US covering policing in New York City.
