Singer-songwriter/storyteller/podcaster Sam Shaber is the creator and host of IVFU, a podcast about the pain, joy, angst and love of trying to make a family the “new-fashioned” way.
As a singer-songwriter, she’s toured over 200,000 miles and released 12 independent albums, solo and with her bands The Happy Problem, The Good People of Planet Earth and The Bashful.
As a storyteller, Sam’s a Moth slam winner and mainstage performer. She debuted her multimedia, musical storytelling show Sam Shaber: Life, Death & Duran Duran at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it earned 5-star reviews and Pick of the Fringe, and has since won awards and sold out theatres in LA and New York.
Herself an 8-year veteran of IVF, Sam created the IVFU podcast to bring support and release to the alternative family-making community through shared humor, cynicism, fear and fearlessness. In her words: “Infertility sucks. We might as well go a little crazy with it.”
