Sam Thielman is a reporter, critic, essayist, and editor. Currently, he writes about media and technology for the Columbia Journalism Review, about politics for NBC NewsTHINK, and about culture, especially comic books, for The Guardian.
Previously, Thielman was the editor at the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia Journalism School. Before that, he reported on technology and business for The Guardian, politics for Talking Points Memo, and the New York entertainment business for Variety. He was a consultant for Comedy Central’s "The President Show." His reporting and criticism have appeared in the Columbia Journalism Review, NBC, and The Daily Beast.
