Sasha Davis is an activist and professor at Keene State College in New Hampshire. His work examines activism and environmental politics in colonial contexts, based mostly on field studies in the Pacific, Asia, and Latin America. His first books were “Empires’ Edge: Militarization, Resistance and Transcending Hegemony in the Pacific” (2015) and “Islands and Oceans: Reimagining Sovereignty and Social Change” (2020). His third book, "Replace the State" (2025) takes the lessons of those social movements and applies them to current grassroots organizing in the United States.
