Dr. Scott W. Tinker is an American geologist, educator, and energy expert renowned for his efforts to bridge academia, industry, and government in addressing global energy and environmental challenges. He serves as the Director of the Bureau of Economic Geology and the State Geologist of Texas at The University of Texas at Austin, where he holds the Edwin Allday Endowed Chair in Subsurface Geology.
