He comes from a family of Roller Skaters. He is both a 2nd generation Roller Skater & 2nd generation Professional Wrestler. His son is a 3rd generation Roller Skater and 3rd generation National competitor in speed skating. Scotty is a 2x Cancer Survivor. First was at age 20 of Hodgkin's Lymphoma which was in his neck, entire left lung and 90% of his heart His 2nd Cancer was at age 46, Papillary Thyroid Cancer needing a total thyroidectomy and a radiation pill. Scotty also suffers from a condition called CRPS. Complex Region Pain Syndrome. As a result of a botched nerve decompression in his right arm. CRPS is the highest rated chronic pain known to man. It is rated higher than a 1st childbirth without medication and amputation without anesthesia. And there is no cure. And can only be treated with extremely high does of various pain medication. Not including narcotics because it is a nerve damage issue. He receives Ketamine Infusions via I.V. that gives him temporary relief for a couple of days. Scotty's CRPS has spread from his dominate right hand and arm to his heart. This causes his arteries to dilate to much which causes a drop in his blood pressure. Which then causes his heart rate to drop and causes Scotty to suddenly pass out. This can happen at any time he exerts himself with minimal effort like standing up off a couch. But not sitting on a couch. Scotty tries to raise awareness of this horrible condition as many doctors have never heard about it. Scotty's own neurologist even told him he had heard about it but that he as his first case he actually had. Scotty has fought with other doctors especially in the hospital that say they never heard of it and have tried to treat him for something else. He has strongly advocated for himself and others that suffer from CRPS
