Stephen Sexton is a poet. He teaches at the Seamus Heaney Centre for Poetry.
Sexton's writing has appeared in Poetry, Granta, Poetry London, Poetry Ireland Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, and other publications and anthologies. His first book, the poetry collection, "If All the World and Love Were Young," was published in 2019. It won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection, the E. M. Forster Award, and the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature.
Sexton received his degree in Creative Writing from Seamus Heaney Centre at Queen’s University Belfast, and his Ph.D. in Creative Writing from Queen’s University Belfast.
