Steve Tibble is a British historian specializing in the Crusades, with academic training from Cambridge and London Universities and current affiliation as an honorary research associate at Royal Holloway, University of London. His scholarship focuses on the political and military structures of the Latin East, and he is the author of Monarchy and Lordships in the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem, 1099–1291 (1989), which examines the governance and aristocratic networks of the Crusader states, and The Crusader Armies, 1099–1187 (2018), a widely noted study of the composition, organization, and strategies of Crusader forces. His work is recognized for combining detailed archival research with accessible analysis.
