Susan Juster is a historian and author whose scholarship focuses on religion, culture, and society in early America, with particular attention to themes of violence, faith, and identity. She is the author of A Common Grave: Being Catholic in English America (UNC Press, 2025), which explores the experience of Catholics in colonial English America and the challenges of religious difference in a predominantly Protestant society. Her earlier works have examined religious violence and the interplay between belief and political life in the Atlantic world.
