Dr. Susan Strasser is a historian who studies consumerism and domesticity. Currently, she is a Professor of American History at the University of Delaware. She is also a Distinguished Lecturer for the Organization of American Historians.
Strasser's work has appeared in The New York Times, Contemporary European History, Journal of Consumer Policy, and Technology & Culture. Her first book, "Never Done: A History of American Housework, Satisfaction," was published in 1982. She has published three books and co-authored two more.
