Teri Agins is a beauty and fashion writer and journalist.
Agins began her journalism career at the Kansas City Star and the Boston Globe. She wrote for Fairchild Publications, then moved to Brazil and worked as a freelance writer for the New York Times and Time Magazine. She was then hired to write a small business column at the Wall Street Journal, where she later developed the fashion beat.
After retiring, Agins continued to write freelance for the Wall Street Journal, and her work also appeared in Vogue, Town & Country, O: The Oprah Magazine, and Essence. Her first book, "The End of Fashion: How Marketing Changed the Clothing Industry Forever," was published in 1999. Her second book, published in 2014.
Agins received her B.A. in English and Political Science from Wellesley College and her M.A. in Journalism from the University of Missouri.
