Thierry Heles developed and hosts the Beyond the Breakthrough podcast, where he interviews global thought leaders from the university innovation ecosystem, ranging from researchers and academic founders to investors, policymakers and heads of tech transfer offices. Thierry has been covering the university innovation sector globally for Global University Venturing since 2014. He currently serves as editor-at-large, having been editor for over eight years until April 2024. He has given talks at the University of Oxford, London IP Week and the GCV Symposium. His research has helped shape policy decisions and his work has been cited in influential government reports and venture capital firm Atomico’s State of European Tech, as well as in respected publications like the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal and fDi Intelligence.
