Fun loving and high spirited, Thom gained the nickname "Happy" early in life for his indefatigable optimism and energy... but also because his parents were happy when he finally stopped and went to sleep! As a musician, the 5 string banjo was his first instrument. (Thank you Steve Martin!) As an athlete, baseball was his first love, but proper football stole his heart and paid for his college. As a career. THom found his way into the foodservice business with his college soccer buddies. As of 2021 he has not found his way out. Fortunately, an intense love of food and the processes and systems that surround the trip from seed to farmer to plate and glass have sustained his path.
