Tim Boyum is an Emmy Award-Winning political reporter on Spectrum News 1 in North Carolina. He is the anchor for NC’s nightly program "Capital Tonight." Despite growing up in Minnesota, Tim has been a lifelong UNC fan. He moved to the state in 2002 and has been calling it home ever since. In 2015 The Washington Post mentioned him in its list of best state political reporters in 2015. In addition to his nightly political coverage, Tim puts out a weekly podcast with his long time producer and friend digging deeper into Local politics, local history, and all NC has to offer! With two children under the age of 10, Tim and his wife are kept quite busy. However, luckily for this Tar Heels fan, one of the Boyums’ favorite things to do as a family is to watch sports together.
