Previously, Frankel has worked as a reporter in St. Louis, Everett WA, Charleston WV, and Henderson KY. His stories have been collected in the anthologies "Next Wave: America's New Generation of Great Literary Journalists" in 2012 and “Best Newspaper Writing 2008-2009."
