Tom Coughlin is a former American football coach, best known for leading the New York Giants to two Super Bowl victories (XLII and XLVI). Born on August 31, 1946, in Waterloo, New York, Coughlin began his NFL coaching career as an assistant before becoming the first head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars in 1995, guiding the team to two AFC Championship Games. He later joined the Giants in 2004, where his disciplined coaching style helped the team secure two championships. Coughlin was named NFL Coach of the Year in 2008. After retiring from coaching, he transitioned to executive roles and has been active in charity work through the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation.
