Tracee Ellis Ross is an American actress, producer, and director. She played in the ABC sitcom Black-ish (2014-2022), for which she received a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Musical or Comedy in 2017 and multiple Emmy nominations. Ross was also Joan Clayton on the UPN/CW series Girlfriends (2000-2008), a show that became a cultural touchstone for its portrayal of African American women. Beyond acting, she has been an influential voice in advocating for diversity and representation in Hollywood. Ross also launched her own hair care line, Pattern, which caters to curly and textured hair.
