Professor Vicky Jolliffe is the former course lead for the PGDip Clinical Dermatology at Queen Mary University of London and remains as a member of the faculty. She and her team have over 20 years’ experience in online distance learning. Professor Jolliffe has pioneered blended global e-learning in dermatology, reflected by her group being shortlisted for the British Medical Association 'Dermatology Team of the Year' award. In 2018, she received a National Teaching Fellow award from leading higher education professional association, Advance HE, who recognised her innovative training and teaching of dermatology through this postgraduate diploma, and her outstanding impact on student outcomes through the flexible blended online learning approach. She has a special clinical interest in hair disorders and medical education, having completed the Royal College of Physicians Educator accreditation programme in 2010, and delivers international lectures to colleagues on hair and nail disorders, and on the insights gained from her wide experience in delivering blended online learning of clinical dermatology. She also completed an NHS R&D funded period as a Research Registrar evaluating the reliability of Teledermatology in triaging pigmented lesions and is also a founding member and was the first Educational Lead for the British Hair and Nail Society.
